UN ADMITS FALSE STATEMENTS REGARDING AMAZON RAIN FORESTS

The United Nations' climate studies have been busted again for false statements. The UN IPCC study quoted statements relating to decreases in Amazon rain forests from an article (not a study) speculating on the effects of logging, and attributed those statements to global warming. Although since the revelation the UN has not returned press phone calls on the subject, one UN representative did reply and stated "Every one's human and can make a mistake". While I fully understand that the Amazon rain forests will not decline due to global warming (the study cited less rainfall in the area as a result of global warming) I am forced to take the other side of the issue than I normally do. As the rain forests decrease the lush growth will not 'scrub' as much CO2 from the atmosphere. This will contribute to Global Warming as a natural process, albeit one caused by Mankind's selfish and careless ruination of an ecosystem. Elsewhere in this blog, in another posting, I cited studies which show that the sudden growth of the rain forests when over sixty million Incas and Aztecs were killed by Spanish explorers, either directly or through the transmission of diseases, was partly responsible for the Little Ice Age from the mid 1600s through the late 1800s. In this case the UN could claim to be right about the effects of logging as contributing to global warming. However, these people always zig when they should zag. They know they've been caught lying again and now won't discuss the subject. How sad that our planet relies on these intellectually challenged people.
