UK TELEGRAPH ON ONE PARLIAMENTARY INVESTIGATION OF PHIL JONES, UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA: "NOT GUILTY?"

Yesterday I quite deliberately ignored reports from certain liberal based news services in the United States that Phil Jones and The University of East Anglia (both at the heart of Climategate) were given a clean bill of health from an investigation by certain Members of Parliament (MPs). I wanted to obtain reports from sources closer to the matter. Thus this report from the United Kingdom "Telegraph News". Here's the real story. There is one statement in the report that Phil Jones is "not guilty of dishonesty...and there was no evidence that he tried to manipulate data". Not Guilty? Wouldn't it be pretty to think so. The report and the MPs go on to say that "there were some pretty appalling emails". "There is potentially evidence that they had gone against UKs Freedom of Information Act". "They behaved in a reprehensible manner". Instead of concluding their investigation they called for future inquiries. Click here for the report from England. BTW: The hearings and investigation (sic) lasted one day. Pretty thorough, huh? Those MPs were very efficient, reviewing thousands of emails in only one day. Good job guys!
