CHINESE TREE RING STUDY: COOLING FOR NEXT 57 YEARS

The Chinese completed a study in 2011 of tree rings in Tibet over the last 2,500 years. They concluded that the recent period of the last several decades is not only normal, it is the historical norm. There have been four periods nearly identical to the recent climate. Global warming proponents, of course blame recent warming on Mankind. (1) The late Roman Times (caused no doubt by horses pulling chariots and the CO2 released from horse flatulence). (2) The Dark Ages (caused no doubt by the collapse of industry). (3) The Middle Ages (Perhaps caused by Vikings and the CO2 released by their fermentation of ale). (4) The recent era ( caused by industrialization and possibly excessive flatulence from Al Gore.).

Global warming CO2 proponents have had their own tree ring studies which were highly publicized. However, they were inherently flawed: (1) Using Bristlecone Pines which are not typical in their growth patterns; (2) Too small of a sample (the Yumal Study); Ones which truncated data because it did not agree with data from a thermometer. However, the thermometer was sited poorly being in the path of the hot exhaust from an air conditioner. (The Mann Study)

Results of the Chinese study agree with hundreds of other studies which used different analysis methods. The Chinese are actually so confident in their data that they are predicting a period of planetary cooling for the next 57 years.

A good summary of the study is available from joannenova at this link. Another study report is found at The Free Republic. That article actually has a graph summarizing the results of the findings. Click here for the link to The Free Republic chart as well as an article describing the study. Many thanks to Burt Rutan for the tip on this topic.
