Winter weather is typically tough on US honeybee populations. Normally 5% to 15% of bees die, unable to adapt to the cold. This year the die off was around 40% due to abnormally cold temperatures, extended cold, and excessive snow. Did the Weather Channel publish this information? If so I haven't seen it.
