Rajendra Pauchauri, the head of the UN's climate change division, has published a novel on 'global warming'. In the novel the main character has many sexual encounters and descriptions of them include 'her heaving bosoms', 'her voluptuous breasts', etc, ad nauseum. The obvious conflict of interest is that publication of the racy novel was paid for by British oil giant BP (British Petroleum). Pachouri sees no conflict of interest despite the fact that his actions and his climate report show him to be the avowed enemy of petroleum companies. Can you imagine the conversation? "Yes, BP. Just fund the publication of my novel, give me a nice advance in cash, and I will take it easy on BP in future reports." However, there was what seems to be another quid pro quo. The head of the oil company in India was honored for his fight against aids in Africa. Who gave the award? Pachouri's foundation on fighting global warming. Excuse me? What does fighting aids have to do with global warming? I'm confused. However, my state of confusion is not rare these days but becoming much more commonplace as I listen to these nitwits speak.
