Recently the Wall Street Journal published an article which gave many reasons not to believe in CAGW (man caused global warming.). Burt Rutan, who is a friend of this website as you have seen through his contributions of information, was asked by the WSJ if he could support the article. He read it and did allow his name to be printed as a supporter of most of the facts cited in the article. The article begins with a statement by Nobel Prize Winning physicist Ivar Giaever, a supporter of President Obama in the last election. In his statement he resigned from the American Physical Society since he could not support that organization's position that "The evidence is incontrovertible: Global Warming is occurring."
The article goes on to present many problems with the global warmers' stand. It makes a good read and may be viewed by clicking here.
However, the global warmers continue to take indefensible positions and to criticize those who do not agree with their thinking. One Brian Angliss, an engineer, published a letter criticizing Mr Rutan, also an engineer. Mr. Angliss asked for a verson of "mano y mano" asking that Mr Rutan debate him "Engineer to engineer'. In the spirit of openess and fair debate we also provide a link to Mr. Angliss' letter. Click here for the letter posted on "scholarsandrogues.com". While that website is not as distinguished as the Wall Street Journal we believe in a fair debate and thus the link. By the way. Mr Rutan is not only "an engineer". In 2004 Time Magazine listed him as one of the "100 Most Influential People on Earth." This website is honored to call him friend and places great value on his opinions. Mr Rutan has responded to the comments by Mr Angliss and his statement will be posted here tomorrow.
